Tangential to Advent of Code, I logged onto hackerrank to do some interview warmup sometime last week. The second or third problem was exactly the same problem that my previous position used as their default take home question. The irony is, that previous company didn’t care about the optimal solution, they just wanted you to turn in something that completed the overall product.
Anyway, day 3 was fun. I’m using this as a chance to familiarize myself with the builtin node test-runner and assert. Check out my code and tests for day 3 of advent of code.
